The Simple Life’s star, Nicole Ritchie is in talks to play Roxy Hart in Chicago on Broadway. Nicole is prepared to have her new family move to New York for the show’s run.  A source said, “It would give her a reason to really show her talent and to stay in the new place in NY Joel just got. It also shows people are really excited about Nicole right now.”

Other actresses who have played the part on Brodayway include, Ashlee Simpson, Kelly Osbourne, Lisa Rinna, Melanie Griffith, Robin Givens and Rita Wilson.

As usual, we have more American Idol arrests scandal news.  The National Enquirer (via Showbiz Spy) reports that Mandy was arrested October 14, 2006 in Crawfordsville, Indiana for drunk driving. She also has a string of driving offenses including going 100mph in a 45mph zone and running a red light.  No word on if Overmeyer will be booted from the show, but insiders say she won’t make the Idol cut tonight anyway.

Former teen actress and pop star, Ashlee Simpson, isited MTV’s TRL yesterday wearing a promise ring. Ashless says the ring is most defenitely from Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz, who Ashlee has been dating for over a year now.  She said, “It just means that he hasn’t asked my dad yet…”

She also talked about how she’s not eating much due to breastfeeding, “I eat really bland – chicken noodle soup, vegetables, fish. I had to cut out milk, no tomatoes, no lettuce. You think you have to cut everything out when you’re pregnant, but you really have to cut everything out when you’re breastfeeding.” Sounds like she’s eating more now than she did when she wasn’t pregnant.

Former teen pop star and actress, Jessica Simpson, is going to Kuwait. That’s right, once again Jessica is going to hit the road to visit our troops overseas.

Says Simpson, “Hey ya’ll. I just wanted to say hi, and let you know that I am hard at work on my country record, and I can’t wait to share it will all of you. Former teen actress, Ashlee Simpson has a new CD out in case you didn’t know, and she has been performing at venues all over the US. Most recently, Ashlee performed at LAX nightclub in Las Vegas. Simpson was joined by her boyfriend, Fall Out Boy’s, Pete Wentz.

Former teen star and Spiderman actress, Kirsten Dunst, has been released from rehab.  Dunst checked herself into rehab to get some professional help with some issues she has been dealing with on her own. We wish her to be happy and healthy.
